The rear wheelhouse liners for the 2022 Chevy Silverado, including liners for both the light-duty Chevy Silverado 1500 and the heavy-duty Chevy Silverado HD,

have been restricted, as previously reported by GM Authority. There is still some remedy available to customers who bought an impacted item.

Let's first quickly discuss the current problem.

For those who might have missed it, there was a supplier issue that prevented certain combinations ...

of the rear wheelhouse liners (RPO code B1J) for the Chevy Silverado 1500 and Chevy Silverado HD from being ordered.

This affected cars created between March 21 and April 7th.

A follow-up article by GM Authority from last month said that the limitation has since been removed for almost all impacted trim levels,

beginning with April 8th manufacturing. For some Chevy Silverado Work Truck, Custom, and Custom Trail Boss trim levels,

the rear wheelhouse liners are still not available to purchase.

The window label on the vehicle will now reflect a $140 credit for customers who have already taken possession of or  ...

will soon take delivery of a Chevy Silverado that is not equipped with the rear wheelhouse liners.

The feature is available as an option and may be obtained through the dealership's parts department if impacted purchasers still choose to have these liners on their trucks.

Nevertheless, the consumer-facing Chevrolet Accessories website does not provide the option.
