There are four distinct powerplant options available for the Lexus RX in its fifth generation. 

A new 2.4-liter, four-cylinder, turbocharged engine is added to the standard RX350. 

It produces 317 lb-ft of torque and 275 hp. This engine is pre-installed with an 8-speed automatic transmission that Lexus claims has smaller gear ratios.
