BMW has a strong reputation for designing and building high-performance luxury cars, but it's useful to understand the costs of owning one.

German carmaker BMW has developed a strong brand image over the years as a producer of high-performance,

luxury vehicles noted for their exceptional engineering, first-rate customer service, and cutting-edge technology.

BMW came in third place for the most valuable automotive brands in the world for the 19th edition of Interbrand's Best Global Brands, after Mercedes and Toyota.

It also came in at number thirteen on the list of the top international brands.

BMW's appeal has increased as a result of its inclusion in renowned motion pictures and television programmes,

such as the Mission Impossible series, the Fast & Furious films, and Lethal Weapon 2.

However, despite the company's enormous success, fans and gearheads tend to overlook some of its drawbacks.

BMW, for instance, provides a subpar warranty for their new vehicles.

BMW's warranty coverage is limited to four years or 50,000 miles,

which puts it in the hot seat when compared against Mitsubishi's 10-year or 100,000 mile guarantee.

However, this is not the only problem. BMW owners should prepare to spend between $150 and $400 per service every 10,000 miles on maintenance costs.
