The concept of a prospective "Cybertruck Mini" is still in the works, despite Tesla's confirmation that the Cybertruck's design has already been completed.

Due in part to Elon Musk's earlier remarks. After all, the CEO has already said several times that a smaller model of the all-electric pickup truck is not completely out of the question.

Days after the Cybertruck's initial introduction in 2019, Musk stated that it will probably make sense "to create a smaller Cybertruck" in the long run.

This is so that the massive all-electric vehicle can compete in the American pickup market.

The Cybertruck could be just too big in other regions, including Europe and Asia.

Musk even considered shrinking the size of the vehicle by around 3% at one time, ..

but the CEO said in May 2020 that even a slight reduction like that would make the Cybertruck "too small."

Musk repeated that Tesla will "probably make a smaller, tight global truck at some point," nevertheless,

on Twitter at the time. Analyst Trip Chowdhry of Global Equities Research discussed such a car earlier this year  ..

when he said that a "Cybertruck Mini" may be between 15 and 20 percent smaller.
