There are a few changes, however, which may be worth waiting on before buying the vehicle,

but overall, there is not a better time to buy Tesla than right now. You can make the case that waiting a couple of years is better before buying a Tesla.

Buying a new car now means waiting for as long as a year, and sometimes longer.

Folks looking to purchase the latest-model Ford Mustang Mach-E can expect to wait over 32 weeks.

Keep in mind that most Teslas are now available for waiting periods of 4-6 months (and sometimes even one year), depending on model and location.

According to the Tesla site, buyers ordering now also need to expect to wait between several months to more than a year for their new car, depending on what configuration they select.

The standard Tesla Model X ($120,990) has currently the worst waiting time of all Elon Musks cars,

and the least expensive models will force you to wait until some point between July and October of 2023 to receive your car.

If you want the least expensive Tesla Model 3 possible (from $46,990), you have to wait for somewhere between October 2022 and January 2023, sometime this year.

Elon Musk has said Tesla is waiting for inflation to settle before it finally starts to lower prices on its EVs, which have increased by 20%-30% in the past couple of years.
