Ford finally announced the F-150 Lightning, which certainly caused a lot of turmoil.

Not only is it a relatively affordable all-electric truck, it also looks like any other F-150.

However, one of the most important things in an electric vehicle is the charging speed. This is the charging speed of the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning.

How fast does the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning charge?

As with many things in life, the answer is "depending on the situation."

Electricity is a more complex issue, unlike traditional cars, which have to fill tanks with gas.

For example, Motor Trend states that when a Ford F-150 Lightning plugs into a 240 volt outlet, it charges at about 32 amps and offers a range of about 13 mph.

However, when plugged into a 120 volt outlet, Lightning only gets a range of 3 mph.

However, Ford does offer Ford Charging Station Pro, a better home charging solution.

It is an 80 amp charger and can supply 30 mph. It can charge a battery in the Ford F-150 Lightning range from 15 percent to 100 percent in 8 hours.

However, a DC quick charger is also available. According to MotorTrend, if you can charge with any of these, Lightning can get a range of 54 miles in just 10 minutes.

These DC quick chargers can charge an extended range of F-150 Lightning batteries from 15% to 80% in about 41 minutes.
