Dodge's inaugural "Speed Week" event kicked today with some shocking revelations.
The first showing of its Direct Connection factory performance arm is a whole 1970 Dodge Charger body made entirely of carbon fibre.
So you can get one of these bodywork from Dodge's Direct Connection Performance Parts division.
Will Direct Connection be making more than the 1970 Dodge Charger body?
First, Finale Speed fabricates the body in accordance with OEM requirements.
Additionally, there are already additional vintage carbon fibre bodies in the Direct Connection pipeline.
Road Runners and Plymouth Barracudas will also be available soon.
This is additional to the Charger and Challenger's current carbon fibre parts, which also include various spoilers, rocker panels, rear diffusers, and front splitters.
The Dodge Charger body features a pan that can be bolted to several 1962–1979 B–body chassis.
The four-door 1970 Plymouth Satellite body may thus be swapped beneath one, according to this.
But at this stage, don't start aligning components. There won't be a cheap body.
