A Hellcat is a powerful car, but there's no telling what that hot rod is hiding. Find out in this drag race video.

On the drag strip, observe a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat compete against a custom hotrod.

Before you ask, we are unable to determine the precise engine that hot rod is using.

Although performance numbers were not provided in the video description, it is obvious from the way it looks that it has a large,

supercharged V8 engine, a set of drag-ready radial tyres, and presumably weights next to nothing considering how little it is.

To find out how much power it conceals, we'll just have to observe how it rides.

On the other hand, the Hellcat is a well-known entity.

The 6.2-L supercharged HEMI V8 in this specific vehicle ordinarily produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque,

but it has been adjusted to operate on E85 racing gasoline.

Power and torque are most likely closer to 800 horsepower and over 700 lb-ft, respectively.

The peak speed is certainly a few miles over 199 mph, and zero to sixty is now accomplished in less time than the factory model's 3.6 seconds.

A Hellcat's quarter-mile time at top speed is in the upper 10-second range. This monster is capable of competing with a demon.
