The base 2022 Honda Civic model comes with two powertrain choices for performance:
a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine (180 hp).
Additionally, the 200-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine is available in the sporty Civic Si.
In contrast, the 2022 Honda CR-V has two engine choices: a hybrid and a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 190 horsepower (212 hp).
The CR-V has traction-enhancing all-wheel drive technology, unlike the Civic. Additionally, the CR-V can tow up to 1,500 pounds whereas the Civic is not rated to do so.
