Is the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate Worth the Extra Cash?

The GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is the new king of luxury in town. The new height of comfort and elegance in the truck industry, it has a hefty price tag. Let’s evaluate the value of upgrading to the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate.

How much does the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate cost?

The starting price for the 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is $81,690. That is a little alarming, we admit. Though you might consider it the GMC Sierra 1500 with all the bells and whistles. Every option, both included and removed from other trims, is present.

However, the Denali trim is available for $63,695. As a result, moving up a level will cost close to $18,000. The destination charge and dealership markups are also not included because these costs are the MSRPs.

For $36,295 at the entry-level, you get a simple interior with vinyl flooring. Instead of being a sumptuous powerhouse, it is a labor truck made to withstand punishment.

Access to the Super Cruise hands-free driving assistance technology and more text to make towing simpler are two of the main benefits of upgrading.

What comes with the Sierra Denali Ultimate?

The 2022 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate is loaded with features. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine that comes standard is the only engine not offered with the Denali level. It has a two-speed transfer case and 44.

It includes updated Denali adaptive suspension and 20-inch wheels for better handling and a smoother ride. Although Edmunds claims the Sierra 1500 has a harsh ride, the improved suspension eliminates all of those problems.

We discovered the Denali Ultimate to be exceptionally smooth and quiet inside. Even while driving through rocky terrain in the open, the vehicle exudes confidence and quality.

Anyway, the Denali also features heated and ventilated front seats, heated back seats, a Bose audio system, and a wireless charging pad. It also has side stairs and a rear power window.

An integrated trailer brake controller, an in-bed camera view, a sprayed-in bed liner, and trailer side blind-spot assistance are all upgrades for towing.

  1. Don’t waste your money…. The AFM- system has been garbage since inception. Valve train issues will eventually cost as much as the MSRP did. I have been diehard GM all my life. Sure the vehicles look nice but the engine management currently in use is the down fall. Causes more problems than it cures. Do your research before even considering a new GM truck.
