Greg Newsome II works outside and in on Browns defense: Early depth chart observations

Friday’s practice at the Browns’ training camp saw an attack against the defense for the first time. There were several of his 7-on-7 periods and his 11-on-11 halves on his speed.

The process is incredibly fast, but we got glimpses of the early pecking order on both sides of the ball. Here are some observations about what Brown’s depth map looked like at the start of camp.

Due to Denzel Ward’s absence, Greedy Williams and Greg Newsom II performed as expected in the first session. When they left, AJ. Green first replaced Newsome with Newsum sliding inward. Rookie Martin Emerson Jr. trains in the second unit.

The defensive tackle battle begins with Teben Brian and Jordan Elliott. According to defensive coordinator Joe Woods, Elliott looks great.

“When he replied, I looked at him and said,’Man, you look good. How much do you weigh?’ I think he’s in his 320s, but he’s in his 280s. “Woods said on Friday.” This should be a big boy, a big athlete. “

After that, Perriand Winfrey and Tommy Togia appeared.

With an outside tackle, certainly Miles he was leading Garrett and Jedbin Clooney, but rookie Alex Wright was Stephen and it was interesting that he was on a different team from Weatherly. On the right side, the size of the part is displayed. In the case of Weatherly, Chase Vinovich was defending with team third rookie Isaiah Thomas.

Zen Taki Taki will be in the linebacker rotation. His destination after Anthony Walker Jr.’s return will be interesting, but he worked with Jacob his Phillips and Jeremiah Owusu his Coramore in his first unit.

The running back behind Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt keeps looking back. Durness Johnson and rookie Jerome Ford were on the field together in straight sets during the spring and summer when the Browns ran alongside Chubb and Hunt.

Friday’s second-team offensive line: Alex Taylor on the left tackle, James Hudson III on the right tackle, Blake Hance on the left guard, Hjalte Frohold on the right guard, Ethan Posik in the center.
