Are Tesla’S Amphibious?

In a recent, lighter-hearted post, Tesla CEO Elon Musk again mentioned Cybertruck’s potential amphibious capabilities. Tesla CEO Elon Musk, for his part, said that Tesla probably can provide a Cybertruck with a similar capacity. This suggests Tesla CEO Elon Musks’ claim of a potential amphibious Cybertruck function might not be as far-fetched as expected.    Show Source Texts

Apparently inspired after watching this video of his company’s Model S driver successfully driving a vehicle through a flood-damaged underpass in Kazakhstan, Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk tweeted that Model S could drive completely on water, and the rotating wheels would help push the vehicle across. If you actually do end up in flood waters and are driving a Tesla, Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that you can push the vehicle through rising waters by turning the wheels back and forth–which, when you think about it, sounds kind of like the cars version of using paddles. A vehicle that could be driven under the sea would have to be pressurized, and we already know that Teslas and Elon Musks’ desire is to send rockets to Mars.    Show Source Texts

Tesla CEO Elon Musk will joke afterward that he was disappointed to learn the Lotus did not actually convert to a sub, and he will likely try an amphibious vehicle using Teslas technology. Elon Musks later said he was disappointed that the Care did not really transform into a submarine, adding that he would probably try his hand at developing an amphibious vehicle using Tesla technology. Elon Musk said afterward that Tesla will convert the model into a true electric amphibious vehicle. However, this was some time ago and has not happened — unless Musk did this covertly, and used it to get into his undersea bad guy’s lair.

The concept for Teslas Cybertruck was unveiled by Elon Musk back in 2019, although it may take some time before owners start turning their trucks into boats. With Tesla’s large batteries, rugged design, and adaptive air suspension, the Cybertruck is only a few components away from being transformed into a capable, fully-electric, amphibious boat. Introduced in 2019, Teslas Cybertruck is an impressive fully electric pickup truck, according to Tesla, that has futuristic looks and sport-car-worthy performance.

The Cybercat brings together multiple components that can be stored in the Teslas Cybertruck without interfering with its vehicle autonomy and added onto it to turn it into a boat. Using this technology, a Cybertruck could be made to become amphibious, with power delivered directly from inside the truck – going from a fully-loaded, electric truck on land to a sailing vessel.
